Hari Lingkungan Hidup Sedunia merupakan hari internasional terbesar bagi lingkungan hidup. Dipimpin oleh United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), dan diadakan setiap tahun sejak tahun 1973, program ini telah berkembang menjadi platform global terbesar untuk penjangkauan lingkungan hidup. Ini dirayakan oleh jutaan orang di seluruh dunia.
Kerajaan Arab Saudi akan menjadi tuan rumah Hari Lingkungan Hidup Sedunia 2024 dengan fokus pada restorasi lahan, penggurunan, dan ketahanan terhadap kekeringan. Restorasi lahan adalah pilar utama UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration (2021-2030), sebuah seruan untuk perlindungan dan kebangkitan ekosistem di seluruh dunia, yang sangat penting untuk mencapai Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan. Pada Tahun Pelajaran 2023/2024 SMA Negeri 1 Bungkal mengikuti perlombaan Mading yang diadakan di Taman Wengker Ponorogo.
